A Calm Heart, A Loving Spirit

Stanley Wayne Kelly, born December 31, 1957, entered eternal rest on January 10, 2026, at Kerr Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Henderson, North Carolina. The cherished son of Stanley Lee Kelly and Virginia Elizabeth Macon, Stanley grew up in the Dabney community. He attended the Vance County Public School System, where he formed lasting bonds with those around him. He regularly attended Shiloh Baptist Church with a friend, a place where his quiet strength and gentle faith were evident to all who knew him.

A Family Man and a Handyman

A devoted family man, Stanley loved his family deeply and did all he could to help them. He was a skilled handyman who found joy in working on cars and listening to music, often sharing tunes and stories with loved ones. A generous spirit matched his practical talents; he always found ways to lend a hand and to make those around him feel supported and cared for. After returning to North Carolina, he treasured the time he spent with his daughter and her family, cherishing every moment they shared.

The Circle of Loved Ones

Stanley leaves behind two daughters, Chanequa Kelly and Angelina Beal, and two sons, Sandtonio Knott and Adonious Hawkins. He is survived by one brother, Bobby B. Kelly (Ernistine), and one sister, Shelia K. Dent. He had 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Lee Kelly, and his mother, Virginia Kelly Macon, as well as brothers Jimmy Dean Kelly and Major Lee Kelly, and sisters Gladys Evans, Mary Kelly, Betty Lou Hart, Sophia Miller, and grandson, Adonious Hawkins Jr., whose presence brought him great joy in his later years.

A Life Worth Remembering

In this quiet passing, we celebrate a life well-lived—a calm, loving man who always put family first and who found strength in simple acts of care. May his memory continue to inspire those who loved him to support one another with the same steadfast kindness that defined his days.
