On June 22, 2022, God called Silas Bernard Monroe to his heavenly home. He was born on August 14, 1958, to the late Margaret Pugh Monroe and Silas Monroe in Franklinton, NC.
Silas was educated in the Franklinton school system and graduated from Franklinton High School in 1976. He was disabled at an early age. He enjoyed watching TV especially all sports. He lived in his later years a quiet carefree life. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Hawkins Baptist Church in Franklinton, NC. He was called by his family “Bro.” Bro loved to eat, and his favorite food was fish of any kind.
He was preceded in death by his father Silas, Mother Margaret, and sister Gloria Ann Monroe-Batts. He leaves to mourn his death Three brothers. Dallas (Carolyn) Crudup of Youngsville NC, Leo Crudup, Franklinton, NC and Cleveland Spivey of Creedmoor, NC. Four nieces Shaundlyn (Michael) Parker, LaToya (Dorian)Lewis, Tasha Spivey, and Naziya Lewis. Three Nephews Leo Iron, RaQuahn and ArQuise Neal and other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday July 2, 2022, at Hawkins Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklinton, NC 27525. For more information please call (252) 425-7191.
