Romids Antwoin Miles, a vibrant and outgoing young man who embraced life to the fullest, was born on May 25th, 1980, in Durham, North Carolina. He was the cherished son of Ernestine Holden and Bobby Alston. On September 14, 2024, Romids peacefully passed away at Maria Parham Health in Henderson, North Carolina, to join Jesus.
Romids received his education at Vance County schools and worked at Food Lion Distribution. He found immense joy in spending time with his loved ones and treasured every moment shared with family and friends. His children held a special place in his heart, and he adored them deeply.
Romids was preceded in death by his brother, Rashod Murphy, his maternal grandparents, John Milton Miles and Arcelia Person-Miles, and his paternal grandfather, Norman Alston Sr. He also joins his Aunt Laura Bullock, and uncles Wilbert Miles, Joe Tracey Macon, and Bruce Alston.
Family was everything to Romids, he cherished every moment spent with his children Alijah Miles, Shadimon Miles, Shaniyah Crudup of Fayetteville NC Zha’Yanna Gill, Romids Miles Jr., and Ke’Monni Kelly all of Henderson NC. He also leaves to cherish his memories his parents, Ernestine Miles Holden (Ricky Holden), Bobby Alston (Mary Helen Alston) Philadelphia. Grandmother Louise Alston Three sister Tiffany Turner (Deda Turner) of Henderson NC, Kanitra Alston of Philadelphia, and TeKeia Thomas of Henderson NC. Two brothers Rodriguez Crudup and Rickey Jerrell Holden. Three Godmothers Sharon Williams, Carrie Cheek, and Sarah Hargrove. Six aunts Arnita Miles, Bettie Jordan Joyce Person, Faye Alston, Deborah Murphy, and Joyce Williams. Five uncles, Pastor John Miles Jr. (Angela), Sidney Mayo, Norman Alston Jr. (Evelyn), Andrew Henderson (Joan), and Robert Lee Miles of Washington DC. Nine nieces and six nephews.
Romids loved all his cousins but shared a special bond with Delmar Vondell Jackson, Eric Floyd, Chanequa Kelly, Tishanda Miles, Niki Alston, Juanita Sherita Charita Fogg, and Keshawn Person. Also left to cherish his memory, a special friend Charlene Alston, and a host of loving cousins, friends, and family.
Romids Antwoin Miles will be remembered for his zest for life, his love for his family, and his vibrant spirit that touched the lives of all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
