A Life of Love, Laughter, and Unwavering Family Faith
Rochele Countryman, a bright light in the lives of all who knew her, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, in Henderson, North Carolina. She was born on March 6, 1971, in East Orange, New Jersey, and grew into a loving, outgoing soul whose warmth and generosity touched countless hearts.
Family Roots and Cherished Legacy
Rochele was the daughter of the late Nelson John Daniels and Mittie Triplett. She was raised in the East Orange community, where she formed lifelong bonds with family and friends. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who believed deeply in the power of family. Rochele lived by the motto, “We are all we got,” and she lived it every day by opening her home and heart to others.
Rochele was preceded in death by her late husband, Rodney Lee Countryman Sr.; one sister, Tashima Triplett Polk; one brother, Jalal Triplett; and one nephew, Larnell Polk Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories: Rochele’s children, Alisha (Sylvester) and Lakeisha, and Rodney Jr.; and her granddaughters, Ayanna and Arianna. She leaves behind brothers and sisters: Bilal Triplett (Shamelia); step-brothers Barry (Anitra), Anthony, Mike, and Antwon; and step-sisters Latoya and Sha'Rita. Her nieces and nephews, who were treated like her own, included Hydiyah (Kentallen), Nizhoni, Lauren, Asia, Amber, and Mario. A very special friend who held a cherished place in her heart was Reginald Peace. Rochele’s love extended beyond bloodlines; she never met a stranger and was always ready to welcome family and friends into her home. To know her was to love her.
Faith, Education, and Career
Rochele’s faith guided her through life. She attended Park Avenue Church in her youth and later embraced the Prayer Temple in her early twenties. Her spiritual journey continued as she connected with United Faith Way Of The Cross. Educationally, Rochele pursued growth and service. She attended East Orange High School and later earned a GED from Vance-Granville Community College. She also earned a CNA license, reflecting her commitment to caring for others. Her professional life included work at Brithaven Nursing Home, where she touched the lives of residents and colleagues alike with her compassionate heart.
Hobbies and Daily Joy
Rochele was a joyful, outgoing person who found delight in simple, meaningful joys. She loved listening to gospel music, reading her Bible, and journaling. She took pleasure in making people laugh and in spending time with family, loving them through everyday acts. She kept in touch with loved ones via Facebook Reels, often sharing them with her children through the night.
A Life That Touched Many
Rochele’s warmth and generosity extended to her community at large. She had an extraordinary gift for making others feel seen and loved. Her presence was a blessing to those around her, and her memory will continue to inspire generosity, faith, and familial devotion.
