She attended Carolina Pines Church in Raleigh, NC, during her formative years and later became an active member of Middleburg Baptist Church, where she found community, solace, and a shared sense of purpose in worship and fellowship. Faith remained a steady compass throughout her life.
A Family Forever in Her Heart
Paulette’s love for family was profound and enduring. She shared a deep, unwavering devotion to her husband, daughter, grandchildren, siblings, and extended relatives. She held family as her greatest treasure, and her legacy lives in the love she gave and the memories she crafted for those who remain. Her father was Paul H. Carroll (deceased), and her mother was Lucille Olive Carroll (deceased). She is survived by her husband, Larry Stuart Blankenship, and her daughter, Dana Blankenship Efird, with her son-in-law, Joseph Glenn Efird. Her grandchildren are Mackenzie Bates Phillips, Makayla Dane Glenn, and Ashton Glenn (husband). Her great-grandchildren are Grayson B. Glenn and Everleigh C. Glenn. Her siblings also survive her, Donna Carroll Ellis (husband, Johnny Ellis), and Tony Wayne Carroll (wife, Joyce Carroll), as well as her brother-in-law, Jerry L. Blankenship (wife, Brenda Blankenship). Paulette’s in-laws include William Stuart Blankenship and Beatrice Blankenship Biddix, the parents of her husband.
