Patricia Beatrice Branch was born on November 3, 1953, in Kittrell, North Carolina, in Vance County, the cherished daughter of the late Marvin Mitchell Johnson and Lola Mae Marrow Johnson. She entered into eternal rest on February 22, 2026, at her home in Porter, Texas. Her early years in the West End community of Henderson, North Carolina, shaped a heart full of warmth and a spirit of care that would illuminate her family for generations.

A Calling in Caring Hands

Patricia pursued her nursing passion across paths that included training in Twentynine Palms, California, where she earned her Nursing Degree. She dedicated her talents to Brenthaven and Guardian Care Nursing Home, and later served the Warren County Department of Corrections as an RN. Her professional life reflected a deep commitment to helping others, always guided by compassion and steadiness.

A Heart That Loved Family Deeply

Patricia loved her family dearly and was known for her loving, caring, and heartwarming nature. She carried herself with a remarkable sense of style and a vibrant voice that earned her playful comparisons to Patti LaBelle within the family, a testament to her outstanding fashion sense and musical gifts. Beyond her public persona, she offered a steady shoulder to cry on, making everyone around her feel safe and cherished.

A Woman of Faith andCommunity

As a child, Patricia attended the Church of Christ on Hughes Street in Henderson, North Carolina, and she remained a steadfast presence in her community through the years. Her faith and generosity touched many lives, and she remained a guiding light to those who knew her.

A Precious Legacy of Family and Friends

Patricia was preceded in death by her daughter, Belinda Jean Johnson Cofield; her brother, Robert Lee Johnson; her sister, Betty Johnson; her great-granddaughter, London Harris; and her great-granddaughter, Nabria Johnson. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Mark Elliott Johnson (Mona) of Porter, Texas; five brothers—James Johnson of Porter, Texas; Michael Johnson (Presharon); Jimmy Johnson (Amiee); Kenneth Johnson; Christopher Johnson (Kimberly) all of Jacksonville, Florida; eight grandchildren—Brian Johnson, Alonzo Williams Jr., Tiquane Johnson, Keoshia Johnson, Keymon Cofield, Keyuna Cofield, Lisa Johnson, Kealesa Johnson; twenty-eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Patricia also leaves special nieces, Taranda Hawkins and Cynthia Johnson, a special nephew, Robert Johnson, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her deeply.
