Mary Ellen Henderson

Mary Ellen Henderson, 76, of Henderson, North Carolina, peacefully passed away at Maria Parham Health on October 14, 2023. She was born to the late Pete Davis and Lucy Lee Hawkins in Vance County on February 24, 1947. Mary Ellen received her education in the Vance County School Systems and later worked at JP Taylor tobacco warehouse.

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Henderson. She is survived by her five beloved sons: Deforest Henderson, Tommy Henderson, Bobby Henderson, Stanley Henderson, and Christopher McNair Henderson. She also leaves behind four daughters: Valerie Henderson, Denise Henderson, Mary Blue Henderson, and Tonya Henderson. Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Jerry Lee Hawkins, and sister, Barbara Durham.

Mary Ellen will be remembered for her kind heart, strong spirit, and dedication to her family. She leaves behind cherished memories that will be forever treasured by all who knew and loved her. May her soul find eternal peace.
