Lillian Johnson Obituary

Lillian Mae Johnson, affectionately known as “Ann,” was a beacon of light, love, and kindness to all who knew her. She was born on January 30, 1952, in Warrenton, North Carolina, to the late Nathan Fields and Louise Boyd Fields. Ann’s radiant spirit and warm heart touched everyone she encountered.

Ann was a devoted member of Coley Springs Missionary Baptist Church, where her faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was an educated and hardworking woman, having attended Warren County School and later dedicating her career to caring for others at Woodbridge Rehabilitation Center in Newark, New Jersey, until her retirement. Her genuine compassion and nurturing nature made her a beloved caregiver and friend.

A genuine people person, Ann loved visiting Henderson, riding, laughing, and being surrounded by her cherished family and friends. Her infectious smile and loving soul made everyone feel special and valued. She was a beautiful lady inside and out, whose love and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Ann was united in holy matrimony to James Johnson, and they shared a life filled with love and joy. She was blessed with her beloved daughter, Tamika Fields, who was her pride and joy from this union.

Ann leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and laughter. She is survived by her daughter, Tamika Fields of Jersey; her beloved mother, Louise Boyd Fields; her brothers, Charlie Fields and Robert Lee Fields (both deceased); and her sisters, Edna Fields, Mariah Cox, Jacqueline Davis, Doris Fields, Clarence Fields, Joe Nathan Fields, and Barry Lee Fields. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends whose lives she touched deeply.

Ann’s gentle spirit and beautiful soul will be profoundly missed, but her love will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved so dearly. May she rest in eternal peace.
