Lee Junior Henderson, Jr., the beloved son of Forest Henderson and Catherine Henderson, peacefully passed away to be with his heavenly father at Universal Healthcare in Oxford, North Carolina.
During his formative years, Lee attended the Vance County Public School Systems. Upon graduating, he enlisted in the United States Army, dedicating himself to serving his country with honor and distinction.
Upon his return home, Lee commenced his career at the Carolina Bagging Company, affectionately known as the "Bagging Mill." Through his hard work and dedication, he eventually retired from the company.
Known for his easy-going nature, Lee found joy in cooking and spending time with his friends. He was a stylish gentleman and a charmer with the ladies, always ensuring his family's well-being by going above and beyond for his children.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Forest Henderson and Catherine Henderson, two brothers Thomas Henderson and Joe Henderson, as well as his sister Alice Henderson, all from Henderson, North Carolina. He was also predeceased by his son Linwood Parker and daughter Donna Henderson, both of Henderson, North Carolina.
He leaves to cherish his five sons Tommy Henderson, Bobby Henderson, Stanley Henderson, Christopher Henderson, all of Henderson, North Carolina, and Deforest Henderson (Shirley) of Durham, North Carolina - as well as three daughters - Valerie Henderson Blue (William) of Durham, North Carolina, Tonya Henderson, and Mary Ann Henderson of Henderson, North Carolina, and grandchildren, great grandchildren, one brother William Henderson, and sister, Julia Thorpe, both of Henderson, North Carolina, and a host of nieces, nephews’, other relatives, and friends.
In closing, Lee will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His spirit touched the lives of many, leaving a legacy that will continue to inspire and guide us. Though he may be gone, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the eternal light of love and fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
