Mr. Jerry Patrick Hargrove, affectionately known as "Biscuit," was born on June 5, 1952, in Mecklenburg County, Virginia, to the late Isabell and Wade Hargrove Sr. He peacefully departed this life on July 5, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication.
A proud graduate of Mecklenburg County Public Schools, Jerry dedicated many years of his life working at J.P. Taylor Tobacco Co., where he retired with pride. He was a faithful member of Antioch United Church of Christ and also belonged to the Gloriaires of Townsville, NC, demonstrating his deep roots in faith and community.
Jerry had an exceptional talent for playing the guitar and enjoyed expressing his creativity through drawing. His love for homemade biscuits earned him the affectionate nickname "Biscuit," a testament to his warm heart and love for simple pleasures.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janette Hargrove; his mother, Isabell Hargrove; his father, Wade Hargrove Sr.; and two sisters, Martha A. Hanks and Shirleen F. Perry.
Left to cherish his memory are his two stepdaughters, Lennetta Cameron and Mattie Williams; his sisters, Gwendolyn Y. Hanks and Sarah V. Elam; his brother, Wade Hargrove Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who loved him dearly.
Jerry's life was a shining example of faith, love, and community. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
