Howard Lee Williams Sr.

Howard Lee Williams Sr. peacefully transitioned from this earthly home to his heavenly home as he was surrounded by family on March 17, 2023, at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, NC. He was the son of the late Gaston Williams. Howard came to Waterbury at an early age from his birthplace in Montgomery Alabama. His life changed for the better when he moved to Raleigh, NC. He loved spending time with his family and friends; his grandson Shawn always made him laugh. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandson Ishimael, who always loved to cook fish for him.

He leaves to mourn, his mother Thelma (Carter) Williams of Waterbury; three sons, Howard (Pookie) Williams of Waterbury, Brandon Williams of Waterbury; Dwain Williams of Raleigh, NC and Teva Moore, pf Alexandria, VA. He also leaves 3 nieces, Angela Williams, Michele Smith, and Tracy Jones. Howard has 9 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Hs is proceeded in death by his brother Leonard Williams.

He will be deeply missed be all. The family would like to thank, Barbara Bordeaux, Angela Evans, and Charlotte Williams Davis. These special friends were there till the end.  

Funeral services for Howard Lee Williams Sr. will be held at the Grace Baptist Church 65 Kingsberry Street in Waterbury, CT 06704 on Monday, March 27, 2023 at 10:00 AM.
