Georgia Ann Perry Harris, a beloved daughter, sister, caregiver, and friend, peacefully passed away on her birthday, May 27, 2025, at Maria Parham Health. She was born in Henderson, North Carolina, to Omega and Rochelle Perry.
Georgia was raised in Vance County, where she attended the public school system. Her thirst for knowledge and desire to serve others motivated her to earn her GED and further her education at Vance-Granville Community College. There, she obtained certifications as a CNA One, CNA Two, and Med Aide—credentials that reflected her dedication to caring for others with compassion and professionalism.
Throughout her life, Georgia exemplified kindness, always putting others before herself. She was known for her warm heart, willingness to lend a helping hand, and genuine concern for those around her. Whether caring for residents at Colonial Manor or Vance Manor or supporting friends and family, Georgia’s nurturing spirit touched countless lives. Her gentle words, comforting presence, and selfless acts of kindness made her a cherished figure in her community.
Growing up, she was an active member of New Bethel Baptist Church, where her faith provided strength and guidance. She loved deeply—especially her soulmate, Roy Lee Harris Jr.—whose love and companionship brought her great happiness.
In her free time, Georgia enjoyed playing casino and bingo, activities she found fun and relaxing. Despite her hobbies, her true joy was giving to others through her caregiving, kind words, or acts of generosity.
Georgia’s love, kindness, and giving spirit will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her legacy of compassion and her unwavering kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by love.
