Dorothy Elam Hart peacefully transitioned from our earthly home to our heavenly home on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at 5:15 PM at the Duke University Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Dorothy was born in Vance County to her parents John Ernest Elam and Elvira Jesse Magnolia Elam. She was the beloved wife of the late Willie Hart.

During her time with us, Dorothy touched the hearts of many with her kindness, grace, and unwavering love. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

As we mourn her passing, we take solace in the beautiful memories she leaves behind and the everlasting impact she had on those around her.
