Derrick Wayne Williams Sr., son of Jackie Scott and Dolly Jean Williams, was born January 24, 1976, in Henderson, NC. On April 3, 2026, Derrick peacefully entered eternal rest at his home. He lived a life marked by humility, humor, and a love for family.
The Music That Moved Him
Derrick had a lifelong passion for music and a special gift for delivering music through hip-hop. His rhythms echoed through gatherings and improvised studios, turning moments into memories.
Roads He Traveled — Education and Craft
A graduate of Southern Vance High, Derrick carried curiosity and creativity beyond the classroom. He nurtured talents in both music and drawing, merging sound and imagery in unique ways.
Family, Faith, and Forever Love
He leaves behind his sons, Derrick W. Williams Jr. and Isaiah E. Williams, and one grandson, Derrick Jamarri Williams III. He is survived by nine siblings, Malika A. Williams of the home, and his Godmother, Karen Williams, along with a host of family and friends.
A Legacy Carried in Our Hearts
We will honor and remember Derrick by continuing to exult in the love, laughter, and wisdom he shared with those he held dear. His legacy will live on in our hearts. Rest in peace.
