Deron Moss

Deron Moss, the beloved son of James Edward Moss Sr. and Dorothy Harris, was born on July 13, 1969, in Vance County, he peacefully went home to be with his eternal Father at WakeMed in Raleigh, NC, on December 29, 2024.

Deron grew up in Warren County, where he received his education and cultivated a passion for working with his hands. He was skilled in operating heavy machinery, auto mechanics, barbering, truck driving, painting, and drywalling, showcasing a diverse range of talents he took pride in sharing with others.

A devoted family man, Deron cherished his loved ones and was a source of uplifting advice and encouragement. He had a unique ability to make everyone around him laugh, bringing joy to countless lives. His love for sports was evident, especially when his children were involved; he was their biggest cheerleader and sometimes their coach, proudly supporting them in all their endeavors.

Deron leaves to cherish his memory his parents, James Moss Sr. and Dorothy Moss of Raleigh, NC; his brother, James Moss Jr. (Lucretia) of Manson, NC; his sister, Lisa (Brian) of Wake Forest, NC; his children, Bilahl Moss and Kamille Moss (Crystal) of Winston-Salem, NC, and Kindal Moss (Juanita, his loving ex-wife) of Henderson, NC; a special cousin, Angela Richardson of Warrenton, NC; a cherished family, the Jordans; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Deron’s legacy of kindness, humor, and unwavering support will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be missed profoundly, but his spirit will continue inspiring and uplifting those fortunate to be part of his life.
