Deanna Joyce Hodge

Deanna Joyce Hodges, daughter of Danny Wayne Hodge and Theresa Joyce Washington, peacefully passed away on July 23, 2024, at WakeMed in Raleigh, North Carolina. Deanna was born and raised in Henderson, North Carolina. She attended the Vance County School Systems and graduated as part of the class of 2007. Following her graduation, she worked as a cashier at Dollar Tree.

Deanna was known for her loving and fun-loving nature. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and spending time at home. Her family, especially her nieces and nephews, held a special place in her heart, and she found joy in their company. Deanna cherished her friendship with Lakisha Henderson, who remained a close companion throughout her life.

Deanna attended the Allen Chapel church in Louisburg, North Carolina, Deanna found solace and strength in her faith. She was preceded in death by her father, Danny Wayne Hodge.

Deanna Joyce Hodges is survived by her beloved mother, Theresa Joyce Washington; her brother, Brandon Washington; her sister, Suzette Perry; her Papa, Wilbert Rodwell; her aunt, Tara Hodge Hazelwood; her special friend, Alford Smith; and a host of anuts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Deanna will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious spirit, and love for her family and friends. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
