Bakairek Samaj Leonard

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bakairek Samaj Leonard, who entered into eternal rest on October 10, 2023. He was born on May 22, 1995, in Henderson, North Carolina, to the loving parents Andre Lamont Alston and LaShonda Tenish Leonard.

Bakairek attended Northern Vance High School, where he made many friends and cherished memories. He had a deep passion for music and rapping, always finding solace in expressing his thoughts and emotions through his art. Spending time with family and friends brought him immense joy, and he particularly loved playing with his niece and nephews, creating lasting bonds that will be cherished forever.

In his professional life, Bakairek worked as a construction worker in Virginia, utilizing his skills to contribute to the growth and development of the community. His dedication and hard work were evident in all that he did, leaving a lasting impact on those he worked with.

Bakairek was dearly loved by his family, and while he didn't have any aunts and uncles, he shared a special bond with his great aunts and uncles. He leaves behind his beloved siblings: Shaundalyn Leonard, Bryanna Leonard, Terrell Taylor, Testelle Thomas, and Nakira Williams. Although he was predeceased by his sister, Sakairea Leonard, his memory will forever live on through his siblings' hearts.

Bakairek Samaj Leonard was a kind-hearted soul, bringing laughter and happiness wherever he went. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we mourn his loss, let us find solace in the memories we shared with him and the impact he made on our lives.
